Network pinging but not showing / accessible network computers

I had been struggling with my comp with the Network pinging but not showing / accessible network computers problem for about a week.

Every thing
1)  Network card connections works
2)   IP is set right
3)   Link layer Topology Discovery Mapper  I/O Driver
4)   Link layer Topology Discovery Responder
5)   Firewall
6)   Pinging of near by computer
is OK.

But, still I am not able to view the network computers.  Gone through much more blogs / instructions from the net and also tried it.  Finally I restored the previous system setup.  That too works for a day and the next again the same problem.

So, now format the system and installed drivers and accessories again.  Now working fine.

If there is any other option without formatting please post here.

Thanks,
